This was a print I created while working overseas in Ireland. At the time I made this I was contemplating that dance between sadness and self pity. That funny thing about life where you can at one moment be consumed with a deep contemplation of the human condition, and at the same time a shallow and seemingly insignificant idea can just walk in and invade that space. I guess it’s another example of the duality of life. I mean I know there is no such thing as a wrong hand bag, or is there…?

In French the term for “I miss you” is, “Tu me manques” which, directly translated to English is, “You are missing from me”. Which of course, is what the missing feels like.

I made these prints when I was on location. Missing home, contemplating loneliness and at times my feelings would tip to melodrama and cause me to laugh at myself.

This was a print I created while working overseas in Ireland. I went through the break up of a long distance relationship while there. I would wake up each day feeling fine and then remember the loss. Sometimes love songs don’t make sense until they do.
